Author Fee & Publication Charges Policy

 

1. Overview
The Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Ekonomi (JIPE) implements an Article Processing Charge (APC) policy as part of its commitment to maintaining professional, transparent, and sustainable journal management. Publication fees are used to support the editorial process, peer-review, copyediting, article layout, DOI registration, journal system management, and institutional support.

Total Regular APC per Article:  Rp 1,000,000 Paid in two equal instalments of Rp 500,000 each, triggered by editorial milestones.

2. Payment Schedule
The APC is structured into two payment stages aligned with the editorial workflow. No fees are charged at the time of manuscript submission.

3. Free Publication & Discount Policy
As a form of support for improving the quality and visibility of the journal, JIPE provides the following publication fee concessions:

Free Article Processing Charge (Free APC)
JIPE provides a limited quota of free publication slots for articles authored by international contributors (authors affiliated with institutions outside Indonesia). International authors who qualify under this policy are fully exempted from the Article Processing Charge, in recognition of the journal’s commitment to fostering global academic exchange and broadening its international reach.
In addition, JIPE extends a full APC waiver to articles whose authorship team comprises contributors from a minimum of three (3) different countries. This provision applies regardless of whether the submitting author is Indonesian or international, provided that the authorship panel spans at least three distinct national affiliations. This policy reflects JIPE’s commitment to promoting truly international and cross-border scholarly collaboration.

Publication Fee Discount for Multi-Institutional Authors
A 10% discount on the total Article Processing Charge is granted to articles submitted by authors representing multiple institutions (multi-institutional authorship). This policy is designed to encourage collaborative research across different academic and professional organisations, thereby enriching the diversity and quality of scholarly contributions to the journal.
Important Notice: The granting of free publication and fee discounts is selective and subject to the decision of the Editorial Board. Eligibility is determined based on the quality of the manuscript and the availability of quota. Authors are encouraged to contact the journal management prior to submission for further information

4. Independence of Manuscript Assessment
The APC policy, free publication provisions, and fee discounts have no influence on the manuscript review process. All submitted articles undergo peer-review that is objective, independent, and based solely on scientific merit. Editorial decisions are made entirely on the quality and contribution of the manuscript, irrespective of the author’s fee status.

5. Withdrawal & Refund Policy
Withdrawal — Manuscript Withdrawal by Author

• Withdrawal of a manuscript before the review process begins: no fee will be charged.
• Withdrawal of a manuscript after the review process has begun or after the article has been accepted: The APC paid is non-refundable

Refund — Return of Funds
Paid APC cannot be refunded under any of the following circumstances:

• The article has undergone peer-review.
• The article has been formally accepted (LOA has been issued).
• The article has entered the copyediting or layout stage.

6. Closing Statement
JIPE is committed to managing publication fees on a non-profit, transparent, and accountable basis. All fee-related decisions uphold the highest standards of publication ethics and scientific integrity. The journal’s priority remains the quality and accessibility of scholarly knowledge, and any revenue generated through the APC is directed solely toward the operational sustainability of the journal.
